Tom Chantry Court Of Appeals Bail Petition

The following is Thomas Jonathan Chantry’s petition for bail to be granted, filed on 27 April of 2017.

Tom Chantry was being held without bail under the following provision proven by the State: “clear and convincing evidence that the proof is evident or the presumption great that the person  (Tom Chantry) committed the offense, that the person (Tom Chantry) poses a substantial danger to another persons or the community or engaged in conduct constituting a violent offense, and that no condition or combination of conditions of release may be imposed that will reasonably assure the safety of others and the community”

Chantry was held without bail for a time, but eventually granted bail on a constitutional right violation technicality.
